Six companies of Belarus’ food industry to partake in exhibition in Venezuela
Six companies of Belarus’ Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs will take part in the national exhibition of the Republic of Belarus in Venezuela, which will be held in Caracas on December 7-9, BelTA learnt from the office for international cooperation with foreign countries of the head department of foreign economic activity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs. Among these companies is Bereza Meat-Packing Plant, Lepel and Glubokoye concentrated milk factories. Next year they intend to supply their foodstuffs to Venezuela, so they pin their hopes on Belarus’ national exhibition in Caracas. The Venezuelan side wants to conclude contracts with Belarus for the supply of foodstuffs. This year Belarusian food companies did not supply any products there. Mechanical engineering companies of the republican association Belagroservis will partake in the exhibition as well. This is Gomel Engine Repair Plant, Promburvod Co. and Astrom Co. According to the specialists, Venezuela shows growing interest in boring rigs and water-well drilling equipment. Bellakt Co. was the first among the companies of Belarus’ food industry to enter the Venezuelan market (the company is subordinated to Belgospischeprom Concern). At present Bellakt Co. is preparing the first 200-tonne batch of dried milk for the delivery. On the whole Bellakt Co. will supply 1 thousand tonnes of dried milk there.
