First lesson at Belarus schools to be dedicated to 65th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazis
On September 1, the first lesson at all schools of Belarus will be dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazis, BelTA learnt from Deputy Education Minister of Belarus Kazimir Farino. He underlined that this day will become a leitmotif of festive events: contests, concerts, exhibitions in the educational establishments of Belarus throughout the 2008/2009 academic year. According to him, this year over 93 thousand children will become first-grade pupils. The total amount of students in the establishments of the general secondary education will exceed 1 million people. Kazimir Farino noted that in view of returning to the 11-year base school curriculum, all training appliances and manuals have been prepared in advance.
