The Drama Theatre from Tallinn will appear in the National Yanka Kupala Academic Theatre with a play A Month in the Village by Ivan Turgenev. The visit of the Estonian theatre company is held within the 3rd international theatre festival Panorama held in Minsk on October 26-November 10. Theatre collectives of Belarus and Estonia have been increasing their mutual contacts, Consul General of Belarus to Tallinn Alexander Ostrovsky told BelTA. In September the Russian Theatre and State Puppet-Show of Estonia participated in the 12th international theatre festival Belaya Vezha in Brest. In October the theatre company of Tartu University took part in the 4th international student theatre festival Teatralny Kufar 2007 organized by Belarusian State University. At the end of October the Youth Theatre-Studio Golden Orion from Gomel (Art Director Mikhail Gulakov) presented Belarus at the youth international festival Theatre Autumn in Tallinn-2007. The Gomel artists were awarded a special prize of the festival jury for their version of the tale “Mio, my Mio!” by Astrid Lindgren.
