Belarusian and Lithuanian military intend to work out a draft technical agreement on cooperation in military topography, geodesy and cartography between the two defence ministries, the press service of the Belarusian Defence Ministry told BelTA. On July 22-25 Vilnius is hosting a meeting of representatives of military topography services of Belarus and Lithuania. While in Lithuania representatives of the Belarusian Defence Ministry will visit the Military Cartography Centre of the Armed Forces of Lithuania and the Airborne Geodesy Institute, will study practices used to create cartographic materials, and will get familiar with using modern special technical instruments. Consultations with Lithuanian specialists in geospatial information required for military simulators will be held.
