Belarus welcomes Poland's decision to reduce visa costs for Belarusians as from November 1
Belarus welcomes the decision of Poland to reduce visa costs for Belarusian citizens as from November 1, 2008, said Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Popov when asked to comment on the decision of Poland. He confirmed the Belarusian Foreign Ministry had received the relevant note. Thus, as from November 1 Polish visas for Belarusians will cost ?20 instead of ?35 Belarusians have been paying since December 2007. Andrei Popov reminded, Belarus reduced visa costs for Poland citizens back on December 21, 2007. The official spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “We would welcome Poland’s continued assistance to promoting the signing of a Belarus-EU agreement on travels of Belarusian citizens and lower Schengen visa costs for Belarusians”.
