A fish museum will appear in Belarus. It will be set up in the zoological garden of Mogilev College of Agriculture and Forestry named after K. P. Orlovsky, Chairman of the Mogilev oblast executive committee Boris Batura reported to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on September 28. The zoological garden is located near the compound Belarusian Ethnographic Village of the 19th Century in the village of Buinichi of the Mogilev region. Apart from the fish museum, railways will be built to improve the transport connections with the compound. In addition, regular tours by the river Dnepr will be organized. About Br 4 billion are needed for these purposes. The general project will be ready in November this year, Boris Batura said. The President highly evaluated the prospects of the zoological garden and ethnographic compound. In his words, “the Ministry of Sports and Tourism should pay attention to these facilities and include them in some programme”. Belarusian Ethnographic Village of the 19th Century was opened in 2006. Ever since, over 55,000 people visited the compound to get familiar with the lifestyle of Belarusian craftsmen of the 19th century. The compound includes houses and workshops of weavers, bakers, potters, carpenters, blacksmiths, etc.
