CHISINAU, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova plan to sign an intergovernmental agreement on mutual protection of classified information, BelTA has learned.

President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti signed a decree to initiate the talks on the agreement between Moldova and Belarus concerning mutual protection of classified information and approved its signing.

It is expected that the Belarusian-Moldovan agreement on mutual protection of classified information will provide for the signatories’ commitment to securing mutual protection of classified information which is exchanged in the political, military, economic, sci-tech or other form of cooperation as well as classified information that is formed in the course of such cooperation. The document will envisage necessary measures and methods to protect classified information which disclosure can harm the security and interests of each party to the agreement.
