About 50 lithographs by Napoleon Orda exhibited at Great Patriotic War Museum
The exhibition “Belarus in the lithographs of Napoleon Orda” was opened in the Belarusian State Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War on April 16. The exposition will also be organized in a number of other cities and towns of Belarus, BelTA learnt from head of the economics and development department of the museum Tamara Kurganova. The exposition features 47 lithographs of the famous artist, composer, pianist and literary man Napoleon Orda whose life and creative work were closely connected with Belarus. The lithographs with the picture of Belarusian specimen on them were presented by collector Vladimir Likhodedov, who was awarded a special prize of the Belarus President “For Spiritual Revival”. The lithographs portray the architectural specimen of Grodno, Mir, Svisloch, Nesvizh, Lida, Novogrudok, Turov and other small towns of Belarus. The exhibition gives an opportunity to recollect the image of the famous and long-forgotten architectural specimen that have been destroyed or reconstructed. The exhibition will stay open till the end of May. It has been organized by the Belarusian State Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War and the newspaper “SB. Belarus Today”. The visitors of the museum will also be able to see the exposition of postcards and photos of the 19th century which will soon be exhibited in other cities and towns of Belarus. The museum and the newspaper plan a series of other interesting projects as well.
