The Miory region of Vitebsk oblast will host the oblast festival of national cultures on September 29, BelTA learnt in the Miory regional executive committee. The festival will gather together over 300 representatives of various nationalities (Russians, Ukrainians, Polish, Jews, Gypsies, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Tadjiks, Letts and Uzbeks) from 15 regions of Vitebsk oblast as well as from Orhsha, Polotsk and Vitebsk. They will make performances, organize exhibitions of national arts and crafts and prepare national dishes. The jury will select the best collectives presenting their national culture. An autumn fair will be open in Miory during the festival where various folk groups will give outdoor concerts.
