Belarus, Uzbekistan approve tourism cooperation roadmap through 2028
Belarus and Uzbekistan have approved a tourism cooperation roadmap through 2028, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Union of the Tourism Industry of Belarus.
“At the 3rd Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum in Vitebsk, the National Union of the Tourism Industry and the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) signed a joint action plan for 2026-2028. The document envisages the exchange of experience and analytics, joint promotion of tourism products, development of business contacts, and an increase in tourist flows between the two countries,” the press service said.
Cooperation between the Belarusian union and APTA began in 2019 with an agreement signed at the 1st CIS Countries Tourism Fair in Samarkand. In 2024, at the Business Connection meeting in Tashkent, the union brought together 250 representatives of travel companies to present Belarus’ tourism products and the potential of its market.
According to the press service, the roadmap is a logical continuation of these steps.
“For us, it is important not only to exchange tourists, but also to jointly shape modern industry standards, share best practices, and create products that are of interest to people of Belarus and Uzbekistan,” the National Union of the Tourism Industry added.
